I’m not sure what to think of this. Again, walking through the bookstore in the manga section and I see the title “Absolute Boyfriend.” It definitely merited picking up and examining. They didn’t have this cover in the bookstore; I found it online. Clearly it’s a shojo manga, and one that I normally would want to criticize and poke fun at. However, upon reading the summary via Wikipedia–I’m ashamed to say I kinda want to read it.  I’ll get back to you guys on this.

Summary (from Wikipedia):  Riiko Izawa has never had a boyfriend and she has been rejected by every boy she has ever had a crush on. When she returns a lost cell phone to an oddly dressed salesman, she mentions wanting a boyfriend so to thank her, he directs her to his company’s website. When she visits the site, Riiko finds it’s a site to create your own lover. Thinking its a game, she customizes and accidentally orders one. The next day, her new lover arrives. Following the instruction manual, she kisses him to wake him up and configure him to be in love with only her. She names him “Night.” Three days later, she is shocked to learn that she only had him for a free trial. The salesman, Gaku Namikiri, tells her that she must now pay 100,000,000 yen for Night, or they will waive the fee if she helps them to collect data about how women think and feel to help perfect future models.

 I recently come into purchasing a Playstation 3.  After my short experience with a PS3, I can say this one statement…ahem…FUCK YOU SONY!  I can’t play the majority of games out for the damn thing cause all the games on the system run at 720p and my TV maxes at 1080i.  I am perfectly ok with that considering I get a 60 FPS max.  So yeah, thats that.

So, the only games I CAN play are MGS4, which I haven’t played yet, and GT5, which is OMFGAmazing.  I bought a nice racing wheel for the game and have never had a better experience with the GT series. Gran Turismo 5 Proglogue is THE best racing game experience.  There is no way to beat it EVER.  Forza 2 is crap, and PGR gives me the other side of racing I need.

The cars handle spot-on to life.  The cars I’ve drivin so far are are the RX8 (driven one in RL), a Honda Integra, a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX and X, Nissan GTR, and a Corvette.  The best car so far is the EVO X.  I must say that I was really dissapointed with the GTR.  It drives like a brick on wheels.

Overall, I’m very pleased with the game, and cannot WAIT till the full version of the game comes out.   The full release will have the Top Gear Test Track on it.   I’m really curious as to how the times measure up.

Ok so The Jonas Brothers. We all know how popular they are now. Disney wanted Hannah Montana in boy band form, thus The Jonas Brothers were born. I think Walter is convulsing in his grave. I don’t understand why every girl between the ages of 9 and Fuck You loves them. I also don’t understand why they love Destiny Hope Cyrus, its not Miley damnit, so much either. Honestly, is there a single person with a penis out there that likes either?

Anywho, I’ve never actually heard their music, maybe their as talented as The Beatles (or Miyavi for you Weeaboo types, though Miyavi might be a more accurate comparison). They are mega popular, which also reminds me, there is a percent of people out there that absolutely hate The Jonas Brothers. Infact, some even call them the “Homo Brothers”. God, how phucking clever. I don’t hate The Jonas Brothers though, why should I? Infact, I have a different theory about them all together. I think Hanson got some plastic surgery, dyed and cut their hair, and Viola! The Jonas Brothers.

is an absolutely hilarious movie.  The movie is half comedy half action with an all-star cast to boot.  Tom Cruise plays a genius part, Robert Downey Jr. plays a genius part, and the rest of em play absolutely genius parts.  GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!!  I can’t stress that enough.  In fact, have a double movie day, go see that and Pineapple Express.  You can’t go wrong with either of those.

Stardock has made a gamer’s bill of rights.  these are things that we, as gamers, have a right to and should have.  Here they are:

1) Gamers shall have the right to return games that don’t work with their computers for a full refund.
2) Gamers shall have the right to demand that games be released in a finished state.
3) Gamers shall have the right to expect meaningful updates after a game’s release.
4) Gamers shall have the right to demand that download managers and updaters not force themselves to run or be forced to load in order to play a game.
5) Gamers shall have the right to expect that the minimum requirements for a game will mean that the game will play adequately on that computer.
6) Gamers shall have the right to expect that games won’t install hidden drivers or other potentially harmful software without their consent.
7) Gamers shall have the right to re-download the latest versions of the games they own at any time.
8. Gamers shall have the right to not be treated as potential criminals by developers or publishers.
9) Gamers shall have the right to demand that a single-player game not force them to be connected to the Internet every time they wish to play.
10) Gamers shall have the right that games which are installed to the hard drive shall not require a CD/DVD to remain in the drive to play.

For the most part, we don’t curently get these.  We should, but between hurried games and retail stores and piracy, these things don’t come easy.

I DO play other games, not just Fighting. Take Devil May Cry, for example. I consider myself a “Great” DMC player. I use Jump Canceling, Royal Cancels, Exceed Combos, and of course, a healthy amount of taunting. But there are those that outstrip me in skill. This piece of shit makes me cringe everytime I see it.

I bought a nice Ken style,  Capcom PS2 controlelr to play my 2dfighters with.  Unfortunately it SUCKS!!!  The buttons on it are great and I love the fact that all three buttons are on the face (it brings me back to the Genesis days).  However, the D-pad on this bad boy sucks so much.  It’s completely unresponsive and unsuitable for use in any case ofer the regular Dual Shock 2.  What could I expect from a controller from Nubytech?
